i want to be the one that cuddled up next to you when the fire dies down to embers and ash, trying to bring both of us warmth instead of just me.

i want to be the one who rests with my head against your burst, my reading glasses dropping nearly too low at the end of my noise as i read a book out loud to help you fall asleep.

i want to be the one you make dinner with, just so that when we're waiting for our food to cool down, you can take my hand andand dance with me in the shadows cast by the setting sun.                                    
         
i want to whisper sweet nothings in your ear when you've come home and take a rest with me on the couch after a rough day at work.

i want to be yours just as much as you want to be mine.

and i'm willing to wait for the day to come when i know we will get here.
